Hope is an attraction to the future and an energy to the present. With it we hold on to our expectation while lessening our periodic burden. Our greatest guarantee though doesn't lie on the hope itself, be it a future honor or the ultimate glory; it rather falls on "the God of hope" (Ro 15:13).
There is great comfort in this. Nothing preserves anything like God. All the promises made by God are handled by Him. Our hope originates from God. So it represents Him fully; in other words what God offers mirrors what He is. In Him there is no waste; nothing is spoiled in His store. Above all, the God who makes everything happen also accompanies. As we walk in anticipation of the things promised, He surrounds us with His fulfilling presence. Our hope is as sure as our God!
